What Are We? Support

How it works

1. Open What Are We? from the app drawer in a one-to-one iMessage conversation.
2. Answer 16 questions. Your answers are saved on your device.
3. Add the invite to the conversation and tap Send.
4. The other person opens it, answers the questions, and sends the result back.
5. Both of you see the same breakdown, and the archetype is added to your Atlas.

You only answer the questions once. You can reuse your saved profile with as many different people as you like.

Common questions

Why can’t I use it in a group chat?

The quiz compares exactly two people, so it is available for new comparisons in one-to-one conversations. You can still open the app in a group to browse results you have already collected.

I tapped Send and nothing happened.

The app places the message in your message box; it cannot send on your behalf. Tap the Messages send button as you would for any other message.

The other person never got a result.

A result is shared only when the second person sends it back. Ask them to reopen the invite and send the result.

Can I change my name?

Yes. Choose Edit Name on the home screen. This does not require retaking the quiz or change results you already shared.

Can I retake the quiz?

Yes. Choose Retake Quiz. You will be asked to confirm before your saved profile is replaced. Completed comparisons are not changed.

Where is my data?

On your device only. Read the privacy policy for details. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored locally.
